I have been making pottery for almost 30 years, and although I went to night classes to learn the basics I guess you could say I am self-taught - and have hunted ideas from books and had many, many failures in glazing until I was completely happy with the finished results.
Pottery has changed so much over the years and to make a success, I have realised that I have had to change my style to upgrade the old fashioned colours of glazes and compete with all the brightly coloured ceramics and cheap imports available coloured with all the unhealthy glazes and styles.
My pledge to my customers is to provide my unique pottery of distinctive design. All my pottery is hand made by me, and therefore I can guarantee that it can safely be used in the Microwave, the dishwasher and to keep food hot in the oven. My ware has been fired to 1290 centigrade in an L.P.G. kiln and has now become "stoneware".My glazes are also made by me and I can recommend them to safety standards. My design concept is uniquely mine, and I have structured these to compliment the beautiful sea coloured glazes.
I love making pottery and do hope that you will enjoy using my ware. When buying pottery, please remember that each piece is individually made and there can be a slight difference in the shape and style. Although the glazes may differ slightly, there will be a similarity in colour.
